Gotta say, I am impressed that producers, or editors, or whoever had the chutzpah to translate fanfiction directly into a show. Or at least that is what I assume Drive was – an exercise in cutting out script-writers, or screen-writers, or really anyone with any ability to compose dialog and craft a story arc.

If the ubiquitous they canceled Daybreak, it should come as no surprise that Drive didn’t have legs. Poor Nathan Fillion. I swear, he is great in so much of what he does: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Serenity, and Slither… even Drive… I mean, he was given a steering wheel as a prop and nothing even closely resembling a script to work with, and he gave it the old college try. I think only outdone in situation by Mark Walberg in The Big Hit (which, by the way, you MUST see if you have not already. It is best watched with the writer’s commentary. I almost peed myself.)
